This new work is from our hike last fall to the top of The Crack in Killarney Provincial Park. The fractured rockface plunged below me in a breathtaking drop providing a very harsh dry home for the pines that somehow managed to survive. At the top of the cliff stood a beautifully poised pine defying the winds, and all the elements that constantly challenges its existence. It stands at the highest point, a resolute witness to all of the changes to hills and valleys surrounding the cliff.
The painting is available at the Paula White Diamond Gallery in Waterloo, Ontario.
